memorial -------------------alex wilson

February 12, 1926 - November 9, 2015

Alex Wilson was very well know at the Paris Speedway track, he worked for many years in conjunction with Dave Havill, to prepare the track for the race nights. His dedication led to him becoming the track grader for many years as well.

Alex was born in Kilbirinie Scotland, and lived in the Cambridge area for 50 years. He worked and retired from North Dumfries Township.

A wicked sense of humor and super friendly, Alex was always there to give a thumbs up to the winners on race night!

Alex had dream of riding a speedway bike, and on one sunny Tuesday evening at the tender age of 81 years, Tiger Tom Marriott loaned his gear and bike and Alex fulfilled that dream. The event was celebrated on the front of a Friday night event program as seen below.

Sadly missed by is all!
