Our vision and knowledge of the involvement of the sport for youngsters, is very important for the continued growth of speedway in Canada.
At the meetings at Paris Speedway, we offer a unique experience in that the young riders are treated exactly the same as the guys and girls riding the 500cc bikes.
We split our Junior Speedway into two groups. The first is scaled or full size speedway bikes, with engines up to the maximum of 350cc. These riders can compete in our Division 3 class only, with a minumum of 13 years old to race.
The second group is for Junior Flat Track bikes up to 125cc. Ages range from 4 years to 13 years.
To outline this experience, we will cover some pointers that make this experience one that draws these kids back weekly
1. All the Junior Riders are involved in the rider walk-outs and introductions. This includes pre-final races.
2. The riders have a minimum of 4 heats per night plus a final.
3. Heats and finals are divided into engine sizes and final winning awards are given to all riders.
4. Riders compete with the same start and finish as the speedway class - Taped start - 4 laps - flagged heats - Final checkered flag lap for winner of each class!
5. Photos of events including the participation of the Junior Speedway are posted on this website.
6. The CSRA has one motto for the Junior Speedway Riders
"Come & Have fun - Go Home Happy!"
